Terms of Use

Estimating Software (estimatingsoftware.pro) is a free, browser-based tool for construction takeoff, estimating and proposals. Using it means you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the tool.

The sample cost data, labor units, production rates and waste factors that ship with each trade are illustrative starting points, not pricing advice. Material prices and labor productivity vary by region, season, supplier and crew. Before you bid real work, replace the samples with your own numbers and check the output the way you would check any estimate leaving your shop.

You are the estimator. We supply arithmetic and a place to work — the professional judgment, the site conditions, the code compliance and the final bid are yours.

The tool is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind — express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard on correctness (our test methods are documented publicly), but we do not guarantee the tool is free of errors, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost bids, or any damages arising from its use. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us — which is zero.

Your work is stored in your own browser, not on our servers — which also means we cannot recover it for you. Use Export JSON for backups, and see the privacy page for exactly what anonymous usage data we collect and how to turn it off. Share links you create are snapshots that expire after 30 days.

Don’t abuse the service: no scraping the share-link space, no automated bulk traffic against the APIs, no attempts to overwhelm the free AI features when they ship. Rate limits enforce this politely.

The tool is free and actively developed; features may change. If these terms change materially, the effective date above changes with them.
